Gouge left in my night stand right where work was done. Office manager did not stand behind this and was dismissive. I have to pay for the repairs now. It’s just sad that people aren’t honest. I would have been happy with a gesture - $50 off the bill or something.
The plumber had to enter my bedroom in order to get to my closet which accesses the back of the tub. So there is no question he was right by the side table that was gouged. I was charged by HD Johnson for caulking the overflow. There would be no way to access the back of the overflow except from my closet. So denying he was even in my bedroom is clearly not the truth. This company unfortunately lies. It’s too bad because if honest, it could have been solved reasonably. No investigation was made, just a rather abrupt phone call and I was out of luck.

HD Johnson is fantastic. They have been my plumber for several years now. Recently, they came out on a Saturday night when we had a leak. They repaired the leak and did all of the follow-up maintenance work as well. They get my highest recommendation!

I've been using HD Johnson for plumbing, HVAC, and water heater issues over the years, and the service has always been professional. But recently, we experienced a broken water pipe with uncontrolled flooding. HD Johnson was on the site within minutes and did an amazing job fixing the immediate and underlying issues. I would definitely use them again. I got to H.D. Johnson though the manufacturer of my high efficiency unit (a Burnham Hydronics unit, of U.S. Boiler Company). The unit indicated an error code, and while I could restart it a few times, it kept failing with that error code, and eventually stopped working altogether. The manufacturer indicated who were the certified professionals for my area. In the past I had used a random plumbing/heating company to service this boiler and it had been a mistake: These are delicate machines and you do need people who know what they are talking about. I could see from the first minute that the people at H.D, Johnson were familiar with the unit and its components. They dispatched someone on next day, who tested the unit and found the possible issue with a blowing fan motor. Before recommending me to order the part, they checked with the actual factory who makes this unit to ensure that their diagnostic was right (they wanted to check if it could be something else). The diagnostic was spot on. The manufacturer said it was 99% chance the issue was caused by the defective part. After 10 years of good service, the electronics in that blower fan motor had failed. I got then the very professional install team of Jeremy, senior technician. He was a different technician that the person who did the diagnostic, and that comforted me in the idea that all H.D. Johnson technicians are well trained, and all have excellent technical knowledge of the issue they are dealing with. He arrived promptly. He engaged in a very neat and conscientious workmanship. Not only did he replace the part, but also proceeded to do a thorough clean of the unit (for instance, vacuuming carbon debris out from the combustion chamber), hence ensuring a more efficient work of the unit for the years to come. I am very satisfied with the installed part and repair. The boiler works really smoothly now. Should I ever need maintenance or repair, again I will definitely use them. They provided an extremely friendly service. It was not the cheapest but it was a very reasonable price. They got it done fast and with high quality and professionalism, which is what matters. This is why I recommend them.

In my basement, I had an old galvanized pipe that started leaking with a steady drip. It was in a pretty inaccessible location between two joists above a duct, and I worried it would mean a lot of tearing things apart just to get to it. The guys from HD Johnson came quickly and pulled down only the framing and paneling they needed to expose it. They could have used a part they had with them, but it didn't fit perfectly so they went and got the right piece and installed it, and it's been dry since. The guys were neat and cleaned up after themselves and they always wore masks and foot coverings. They didn't try to make a major project out of it, and I was surprised how little they charged me for what they did.

These plumbers are responsive, knowledgeable, and experienced. I have used them for years and for some very difficult projects. Whether it was as big as a whole house plumbing renovation or as small as a disposal replacement, Dave Johnson and his various plumbers have been great to work with and reasonably priced.

We used this company for plumbing services for a new bathroom in an addition. We failed our initial plumbing inspection. On two occasions, the technician did not arrive on the scheduled day for installation. The owner would not return calls. When I was finally able to speak to him, he was rude. On one occasion, the technician arrived an hour and a half late, then left mid day to go to another job. On the final day of plumbing installation, the job not only took twice as long as it should have, according to my GC, there were things that remained undone that my GC will complete. The excuses for these unfinished items include, not having a saw that was sharp enough to cut off the bolts that secure a new toilet to the floor. Not having a simple O ring to stop the leak in a new shower head. This technician lost pieces out of the box for a brand new toilet. The technician was rude as well as the owner. I would not even give this company 1 star. They should not be allowed to stay in business. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in any field.

Even in the middle of the pandemic, HD Johnson was able to send a plumber out quickly to fix an unexpected leak. Salomon was able to quickly cut out and replace the damaged pipe, taking only an hour and using precautions like a mask and gloves. Thank you, HD Johnson!

I used them for an issue with a mini split. They charged $120 for 1 lb of refrigerant. For info you can buy a 25lbs of R410 Refrigerant for $200. Be prepare, you will spend more than $400 for a basic repair.
