I had a heating emergency in freezing temperatures with a 5yr. old and pets in the house. I contacted multiple HVAC vendors & Upul the owner of Green Mechanics responded right away! Upul & Jacob arrived & immediately ran diagnostics on indoor system outdoor system & thermostat. Once the issue was recognized he explained to me in layman’s terms, the reasoning, preventions, and then gave me “Options” on resolution. My experience with Upul and Green Mechanics was fast and fair. As a homeowner you can easily be taking for a loop especially if you have no knowledge of the matters at hand, Upul was the complete opposite! My system shutdown was repaired fast & correct with unit upgrades for half the cost of competitors. Not only am I going to refer Upul to family and friends, I’ve now found my HVAC vendor for life. Upul and the Green Mechanicals’ team did a great job when my furnace stopped working. On very short notice, they troubleshooted and expediently and efficiently fixed the problem. They are very professional and I was extremely pleased with their work. I highly recommend them.

We hired Upul to address the AC repair work at my home. Upul and his team are very professional, knowledgeable and completed the work within time frame. The quality of the work is excellent. While fixing our AC issue, Upul fixed the other minor issues without charging any additional cost with one year free labor warranty for our AC repair work. There were no surprises. Green Mechanicals offered us a competitive price and had the best scheduling option for us. Our central air unit died on us in June just as the summer started to heat up. Most companies I spoke with were looking to scheduling a week and 2 weeks out, but Upol was able to schedule us within days. I was very pregnant and my husband hates the heat so timeliness was a big priority. The work took longer than expected because our existing system was so old, but the guys showed up first thing in the morning every morning and stayed until our kids bedtime(7:30pm) to get the job done. The guys swepts up and kept the mess to a minimum in the house which was appreciated and respectful. They did put a few small dings in the walls, but with the narrow space in our house I think that was inevitable. Upol was very is very professional. He helped to explain what he was doing and why to help me understand and manage my expectations which for me is one of the most important parts to customer service... expectation management for me will determine my experience working with anyone. He also made recommendations, but never pressured me to spend additional money on other services or work.

Green Mechanics is an absolutely amazing company. One word. Outstanding. I live in a condo and had what's called a combi unit. It controlled my heating A/C and hot water. I've had the unit for 15 years and every year I've had it serviced. This past year I was told by several plumbing companies that it's on its last leg and may not make it through the winter. The thought of having no heat or hot water in mid winter is not something I or anyone wants to deal with. I searched and searched for a combi-unit to replace the one I had and those combi units aren't available anymore and most plumbers or HVAC guys were stumped and had no idea what the unit was even after coming to the house to tell me what I should do. (Even a friend that works for the City Of Stamford engineering didn't know, and couldn't find a similar unit.) Matter of fact I'm still waiting for him to get back with me.(its been almost a year). Well thank goodness for Upul. He knew exactly what I needed and did the job so flawlessly. Not only is the quality of the work exceptional but the materials he uses are high quality. His prices are very fair and match the quality of his work.
