We called them for an emergency service. I spoke with Anne. She was a delight. My husband, Herb, knew the owners because they are active in the philanthropic community. They care about the community AND their customers. Kevin came that day, they diagnosed and expedited the part and in less than two days, we were back in business better than ever. Thanks, Anne! Terrible customer service. I called them to service my oil furnace . Guy came to my house. Walked around for less than 5 minutes. Told me the breaker popped and I’m fine. Literally leaves writhing 10 minutes of arriving. Next think I know I have a bill for $150. Come to find that the actual blower on my furnace seized and needed to be replaced. The technician never looked at the furnace never fixed anything and I had to shell out an additional $500 to get it working from another company. I told R&B that I will not pay it and they sent my bill to collections. Do not use this company unless you want the run around. So incredibly disappointed. I feel like I was robbed.

This company is absolutely outstanding. We have used R&B for a few years now, and they have facilitated the replacement of our old AC units, and helped us replace them with the top of the line Trane units. They really are knowledgeable and do amazing work!!

During the pandemic, our boiler suddenly died after a short circuit and would not turn back on after the electricity was fixed. Called another company for emergency service and the technician came over as puzzled as us after 45 min-couldn't figure out why it would not work and concluded that the problem was probably with the control panel and left us with a $125 bill and contact info of his control panel colleague, who never responded to the issue as promised. We called R&B instead-they installed the boiler some 14 years ago for the previous house owner. Chris, the technician came over and interesting enough, the boiler started to work again as soon as he switched it back on-we tried many times before and never got it to work. What makes it even more interesting was as soon as he left, the boiler died again though we didn't notice that till a couple of days later-thanks to the big tank of hot water stored away. Quick enough, Chris came back and identified the problem-the igniter died. He changed the part and make sure that everything works. He even examined the exhaust vent, in front of which a flap was built by our carpenter to prevent the hot exhaust burning the plants right in front of it. He explained why it should be removed-the same vent is also used for sucking in air for combustion. Chris is very thorough and knowledgeable and he is also very polite and pleasant to be around. Very pleased with the service and would continue to work with them in the future. Highly recommended!

Thanks to R and B our family will be sleeping in a warm house tonight! Our heat broke down 4 days ago and was being serviced by another company, and we kept waiting for the part to come in and we were out of luck on a Friday afternoon and the other company told us we had to wait until Monday. We called R and B desperately bc temps have been in the single digit, and Ann was amazing! She contacted one of the team and they found the part we needed a few towns over and 2 hours later, they fixed it! Unbelievable service, we are so grateful! Thank you R and B!

We recently lost our heat and R&B came out immediately to diagnose and repair the issues. Brandon was efficient and very quick we were back up and running within an hour. I would highly recommend R&B.

Highly recommend! We needed R&B to come twice this week for 2 unrelated problems on equipment that THEY DID NOT INSTALL and their teams were quick, friendly and very professional. They quickly found the problem and performed repairs almost immediately.

No heat! After calling the company that installed the furnace and several others and hearing 48 hours to 3 weeks before anyone could come, one company suggested R&B in Guilford. I called and within 3 hours a tech had been here, found the problem, dead control board but thought did be tmrw before he could get the part. Found the part in New Haven, another tech comes and installs and the heat is on, incredible! In today's world this type of service is rare. Thank you R&B!

Had an emergency. They were at our place within hours. In one hour AC fixed and working perfectly. Tech was great. No up sale. Honest and very hardworking. Will never consider another heating and cooling company.
