If anyone needs to have their central AC serviced, I highly recommend Douglas Mechanical Services. I called this a.m. and within minutes was given an appointment for today - no waiting for a callback. Communication was excellent with emails updating me on status of technician's arrival. Technician called me with ETA when he was enroute to my house . The technician, Logan, was excellent! He assessed the problem and found a solution within minutes of arrival. He explained what needed to be done in terms that I was able to understand without being condescending. Payment process was easy peasy. Received invoice via email shortly after visit and I was able to pay with credit card online. Well done!

My heat and hot water wasn’t working. When I called, they were booked and couldn’t come until after hours. I was okay with this but soon they called me back and had a sudden opening and they were there within the hour instead. They discovered that I had a busted pipe that caused everything to emergency shut off. They had to order the parts and get back to me. I waited a week and before I called them back for an update. They didn’t order the parts for me yet and the receptionist immediately helped me get things going. I just wish I wouldn’t have waited a week to call them. I didn’t know they didn’t order them yet. She said the next available appointment for the repair isn’t until over a week away.

So all together, I waited almost 3 weeks for my system to be repaired because there was a delay in the parts ordered.

On the bright side (because I like to have a good outlook on inconveniences) I have learned to really appreciate the luxury of instant hot water by not having it for nearly 3 weeks. I boiled water for my newborn baby’s bath, to fill a bucket to sponge bath myself, and to soak the dishes. I would say “at least I have a stove and not have to build a fire”. Gratitude can get you far when a hot shower is becoming a distant memory. We don’t think of these things since modern times is set up rather conveniently.

Anyway, I appreciate their service even if it took a while to help me after the first day. They repaired everything and that’s important. I can now have a hot shower and wash my dishes quicker. The baby doesn’t have to wait for his bath and I have heat for the next winter. I appreciate the life lessons and perspective on how great instant hot water is. Thanks DMS!

We recently switched to Douglas Mechanical for our HVAC services and have been very happy both times we've used them. They were very responsive on the phone and we were able to get an appointment right away. The technicians that came to our house were very friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain how to program our new thermostats. They solved our problem and were very nice while they did it. I will definitely stick with them in the future.

Waited for weeks for an estimate just to receive a project refusal via email. Your reviews suggested otherwise, but I guess you're too busy to call your potential customer back to turn down $40k job or at least to provide an explanation.

So easy and professional to work with from start to finish. We contacted them for a quote to replace our very old heat and A/C unit. Jill worked with us to be able to finance and stayed on top of everything. The level of communication and dedication to their customers is phenomenal.

It took 2 full days to install and the workers were very polite, courteous and professional. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and I wouldn't use anyone else. They know how to make sure the job is done right and by the right people.

I know one of the owners thru a mutual friend and he shows his business is very professional.his techs are always knowledgeable. I used them the past 2 years and always the best service you can get. I switched over to them for 3 of my homes. I hope they continue this and don’t sell out or change their business motto.

I called Douglas Mechanical to take a look at my central AC unit that was no longer working. From the first phone call I found them to be professional and courteous. They sent a technician out within a few hours and the man that arrived (Logan) was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. He had thorough knowledge of my system and was able to describe what he needed to do an how he was going to do it. He was clean, polite and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Douglas Mechanical.

The crew of Matt, John, David, Paul and Noah arrived at my home to install an AC unit and furnace. They are a professional and competent group who kept me informed as to their daily progress. Besides, with such biblical names, how can you go wrong. My interaction with the owner and administrative staff has always been pleasant. Used this company a few years back for AC maintenance... however last summer never heard back from an appointment request I sent through their website after no one answered the phone.
