    Isaiah provided excellent service at our home yesterday. He listened to our problem, looked at the systems and explained our options to me and my husband. We asked questions. He showed us where the problems were and what he would do. We decided to have all the work done and he proceeded and completed the work within 2 hours. We are now comfortable.

    Isaiah also explained future work we can do on our furnace system to provide humidity. He will provide that information so we can make a decision. Isaiah also suggested an easier-to-read thermostat for us. His service was definitely 5 star. Thank you.

    This is the third repair that I've had them handle for me. They are always so professional and responsive. Recently, Lex fixed a leak in my baseboard heater. He explained everything to me before doing the work. He also showed me where the shutoff values are on my furnace. I highly recommend their services.

    I had another great experience with County Wide. I have a few rental properties and they have been taking care of me for years. They have always been available same day or next day. Sean who has done most of the work is great! He does a great job of explaining things and I feel like he looks out for my best interest. During my last call he walked me through the trouble shooting process where other probably would of said I needed to replace the unit. I’ve always appreciates the honesty and great customer service.

    Although I was scheduled for an afternoon appointment, I was pleasantly surprised that their technician was able to come that morning to fix my central Air Conditioner. Ryan looked at the AC equipment in the basement and then to the outside equipment. He was able to detect the problem, explain the remedy to me and was able to fix it in a short amount of time. I’m thrilled to have my AC working properly and the 2 year guarantee is an added bonus. I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone; after all, it was a friend who recommended County Wide Mechanical Services to me! Ryan was very polite, friendly, answered my questions and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. He was a pleasure to have in our home!

    Six years ago Countywide installed a new gas furnace, hot water heater and central air for us and did a great job. They called recently to suggest a furnace maintenance visit since nothing had been done to it (except for my changing the filter) since it was installed and that seemed to be a good idea. Isaiah was the tech who did the servicing and we found him capable, bright and helpful. He also made some very useful suggestions which were timely and helpful. All in all, this was an excellent experience.

    We had to replace our boiler pretty quickly. We contacted County Wide Mechanical Services because we had used them previously to install a water heater and were happy with the work done. An advisor came and met with me to go over what we would want to replace the old boiler with and what new options were now available (our boiler was 26 years old!). We went with a new oil fired boiler and indirect water heater. The installation date was scheduled for a few days later. Taylor and Enigen arrived promptly at 8:15 like they said and put down tarps and went to work on removing and installing the new system. The installation took two days which we knew from our initial meeting would be the schedule of work. At the end of the second day the system was fully up and running. Taylor went over the operation of the system with me so that I would fully understand what each component did and how it worked. We are completely satisfied with the proposed equipment, quality of work performed, the cleanliness of the work area when the job was completed, and the friendliness of Taylor and Enigen. I would recommend County Wide Mechanical Services again for another great job done!

    Countywide installed my central air conditioning system July 20,21,22 2020. I was told when Tom and Kendall were done with the installation that everything was set properly. They worked hard and were very cordial. The system is a Variable speed air handler, two stage condenser and a thermostat (Honeywell) that could be controlled from my smart phone. I noticed over the next couple of days some issues. The compressor made excessive bang when it starts. Also the air handler and compressor always ran at the same full speed. I also was not shown how to use my phone to control the thermostat. I called in my concerns and was treated extremely well. Countywide sent a tech to look at the issue. I forget the tech name but he was cordial and tried to fix my system. He added an electrical capacitor component to the compressor to try to solve the loud banging issue.Whatever he did did not work. I called again and was cordially sent Chris Byrne who was to look at my problems and connect my phone to the thermostat. He also was unsuccessful. He indicated I would need a new thermostat to use my phone and would schedule to get it replaced. That did not happen. After days of excessive noise from the condenser I called again. Tech Isiah T. came and went through my entire system and found multiple problems. He reconfigured the air handler electronics to actually run variable, configured the compressor electronics to properly run two stage. He removed that extra capacitor that was installed earlier by a prior tech visit. He fixed everything. He even rewired the thermostat so it could connect to my phone. He was top notch, the best and really knows his trade. He even got my phone connected to the existing thermostat. By the time he left the system was running extremely well. I cannot thank him enough. However after he Left that night the compressor began loud starting surges. I have been speaking to John the service manager and he has been great to deal with. Long story short, I still get intermittent loud bang starts from the compressor. I am concerned that the hard surges could cause damage over time. I will live with it for a while but may have to make another service call. Even with all this, I still think highly of Countywide. They have been easy to work with. I am certain they care about my system and it's performance.

    Be careful they are very quick to come out to your property but everything in between is a struggle.
    I've attempted to deal with them 2 times now. 1st time was for a water heater issue. They quoted me $1800 for the job and went I went to get a 2nd opinion it was a $300 fix and County wide didn't even diagnose the right problem. The 2nd time I had started the process to get Mitsubishi splits put into my house through the EngergizeCT heating loan program. It took them 3 weeks to get me an appropriate quote (Should have been a give away) I turned around all of the documents within days for the loan. When following up with them over the paper work for the loan they lied repeatedly about doing the documents on their end. I had to call the loan company just to find out if County wide had completed the paper (which they hadn't). Furthermore the hadn't even told me that I didn't get approved for the full amount of the loan which is something I should know if I have to pull out an additional 10k from the bank. I had asked to speak to the owner 10+ times with no avail. I've been lied to, ignored, and pushed off. I'm very patient with contractors until I'm not. They are over booking clients and not following through with paperwork. I'm very disappointed.

    Absolutely awful and unprofessional service. We were having a plumbing issue, explained what was happening and they sent someone to come check it. They were on the phone with customer support the whole time, and charged us for having to call customer support. Told us what the problem might be, charged us for this visit ($400!!) and then came back to fix the issue. Fixing it took them less than 30 minutes, and they charged us an additional $600. Problem was never fixed, so we called them again. We told them we have already spent $1,000 and the problem is not solved, and the young lady on the phone said we would not be charged for the check up visit. They arrive, and again call customer support the whole time they are here. They tell us what they think the problem is, and tell us we have to pay an additional $800 for the visit. When we asked for a breakdown of the costs, they refused to give to us. the invoice just says $800. For what? For an issue that is not fixed. Called the manager and they were absolutely unprofessional and accusatory, accusing us that we should have called our contractor since he's the one that had installed the hot water heater. We thought it was a plumbing issue, like a blockage, which is why we called THEM. Accused us by saying that we probably didn't want to call the contractor because he was not licensed. SO ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL and that doesn't include some of the other things they told us. I cannot believe it. So we've spent $1,800 for NOTHING. BEWARE, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

    I closed on a home and immediately discovered the heat had stopped working. I called for immediate service, and the woman was very helpful and quoted me a price for the ‘overtime’ house call. She then called me back and said she’d misquoted and the price would be $250. I agreed. The gentleman who came was super helpful and was done in 10 minutes. He let me know the $250 was just the fee for him to ‘drive there’ and there would be another $250 for his time. Bait and switch. He also let me know he didn’t have the small part to fix the issue, and someone would have to come back out. I feel scammed. You would think with a new homeowner you would want to retain the customers long term business (the cost of acquisition must be high), but he said it was $500 for his brief visit. Absolutely insane.
