Jim Needham Heating Cooling Plumbing and Drain

I don’t understand how this company is rated so high. I had an hvac employee come to my home to diagnose my ac. I was given a 10k+ invoice to replace my entire unit! Then they tried to get me to refinance the unit for 12% interest since I didn’t have that in cash! I asked three times for a written diagnosis and a detailed itemized invoice so I could do some research on my own. (Still haven’t received this information even though I paid for it). $10,000+ is a huge financial commitment. Why wouldn’t I require this basic information in order to make a final decision?

Instead of receiving an detailed itemized invoice and a written diagnostic like I asked for, the sales representative tried to use unethical sales tactics with me by mentioning that it will get “warm soon” and that I should make a decision… as though $10,000 wasn’t a big deal.

Most people can’t afford an $10,000+ expense and do not want to place that financial burden on a family member or a friend…. I personally believe they were trying to take advantage of a pregnant woman and didn’t want me to research other alternatives. The lack of transparency was concerning. I do not recommend this company.

Technician Jeremy Knight came out to my house to troubleshoot my sump pump and did a thorough job assessing the unit. He was professional and very helpful. He got my pump in working order with great tips on future issues to watch out for.

I would highly recommend Jim Needham! Nolan and Gage were excellent! So professional, diagnosed the issue and quickly resolved it and explained all options really well! If needed, would definitely call them again!

Very satisfied with this company! We had sump pump issues and they were able to send a technician within 3 hours of our service request. Jerid was great, diagnosed pretty quickly and completed the job within 2 hours. Definitely recommended!

I’ve used this company four times in the last two months to repair plumbing and heating issues. Needed to get my water pressure regulator replaced and they had someone out here the next day, very quick turnaround. Tyson and Josh were great, very professional, explained what needed to be done and I'm very happy with the finished product. They were also able to fix a couple other issues I had while they were out here working on it, replacing my house water shutoff with a ball valve, and adding my front spigot to the regulator (house built in '76). Would definitely call them back for any future plumbing work I may need.

Tech came in a provided a quote to install a new sink. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He came back with his quote and it was over 1400.00 to install a basic sink. That was labor only, the sink and parts were not included. I don’t know any profession that charges over 700.00 an hour. It’s a big no for me. I’m sure they do good work but that quote is stupid.

Jeremy was very professional and thorough with his explanations. When fixing my water heater Jeremy noticed that some of the venting above the water heater was not done correctly and was creating a dangerous situation for the household, Jeremy went out of his way to fix the problem. He could have easily just walked away with his job being completed. We are customers for life.

Steven did a thorough and quick job unclogging our kitchen sink. He was friendly, courteous, professional, and kept things clean with shoe covers, mats and a good cleanup after he was done. Explained all work and expectations. This is our first time using Jim Needham and we'd use them again.

I hate to leave a less than great review, but I also think its important to provide. My experience with Jim Needham was that it was very expensive and they quoted us more than what was needed. We paid $455 for a cartridge replacement, which broke less than 4h after install. They came again and fixed it the next day for free stating high pressure as the reason. We were quoted over $2000 for a cartridge replacement, pressure regulator replacement, and told we needed an expansion tank. In the end we had another service out for a comparison quote and they confirmed that over $400 for a simple cartridge replacement was very expensive and strange that the new cartridge lasted less than 4h even with high pressure. The other company charged us $300 to change out the bad pressure regulator and that was all that was needed. Just too expensive for the work done and based on the other service they inflated the need. I would not recommend.
