Called H& M because our AC wasn't working. Connor come out and replaced a capacitor at a very reasonable price! He was very informative on preventive maintenance. We will recommended this guys to anyone. Do it right the first time, Call H & M Mechanical!
On the hottest day of the year we're very pleased with the professional check-up that Joe performed on our AC system; particularly the thorough inspection and maintenance of the outdoor condenser unit. Terrific workmanship and customer service at a very reasonable price!
H&M has exceeded my expectations in every way. I bought an evap cooler from Home Depot (don't ever do this) and had to find an installer, so H&M was recommended. They installed the unit and found that it had a bad capacitor, so I sent it back under warranty. H&M came back and installed the capacitor for a very reasonable price. Then, the electrical connection went bad and I had to get the breaker switch replaced by the electricians who installed that part of the unit. After a couple of weeks, we noticed the unit had leaked into the ceiling below it. With all these problems, I thought it was an installation issue. To their credit, H&M sent out their installation manager, Sal, to look at the unit, the tray below it, etc. at no charge. It wasn't leaking into the tray and he couldn't find the source of the leak, so he said to keep an eye on it. It did continue to leak, so a couple days later Sal came back again and spent several hours taking the unit apart to troubleshoot--for free. They basically saved me $300-400 to see what the issue was, and they were fully willing to take responsibility if it was an installation issue. It turns out Home Depot bought a faulty unit and sold it to me. Sal showed me three issues that caused the leak that were clearly factory defects. He caulked what needed to be caulked and fixed what needed to be fixed, and we have had no problems since. I tried, but they wouldn't charge me for all of Sal's maintenence/repairs. Great service--check. Integrity--check. Responsiveness--check. Above and beyond--check. In short, they are excellent.
Tony and Joe arrived right on time and stayed until they knew the furnace was working just right. They didn't stop for lunch and they did a great job. They answered all my questions and made sure I knew everything I needed to know about running the furnace before they left. They cleaned up really well prior to leaving and attended to all COVID rules while in my house. All in all they worked from 8-8. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome.
Awesome work performed! These guys are professional and do the job the right way! I will recommend them to everyone in need of HVAC work! Not only was the furnace install fast and efficient, they even helped with adding an air purification system to our house! Absolutely happy with the install!
We called H&M Mechanical to come up to our cabin in Eldora. Connor helped fix the flue pipe and offered suggestions about changing the gas line to help reposition the furnace properly to prevent future gas leaks. Amazing customer service. Really good to see family owned business. Will use again!
Connor did an amazing job installing a humidifier in our home. He took time to explain how the humidifier worked and had some great recommendations for our home as well. I highly recommend H & M Mechanical.
I would not recommend using this company. I have a whole house fan that needed a new belt. They messed up the scheduling, their billing is deliberately expensive and the guy didn't even want to do the work.
- I scheduled an appointment for one day and they showed up a day early when I wasn't there, then said they had no appointment time for the time I already scheduled, causing me to have to miss some important meetings - When the guy showed up he didn't want to work on it, saying there was no access to the fan, even though you can get to it from underneath. I had to persuade him to even look at it. He hadn't even brought a ladder even though I had said it was a FAN IN THE CEILING. - Their standard practice is to come without any spare parts so you're automatically billed $85 just for them showing up even though I had said it was just a belt. - When they came and installed the belt they charged another $105 labor, so now we're at $190 + parts for a five minute job. - They also wanted to charge an additional $45 for being 5 minutes outside the City of Boulder for a grand total of $255. Just for one simple belt.
