What a terrible experience that resulted in a no show with no communication. I called about 20 minutes into my 2 hour window, and the person said the technician just left and should be on their way. I called once again an hour into it, no answer, then I call after my window, no answer. I leave a voicemail saying they didn't make their window. They finally call back and said they'd try to find a different technician to get it fixed on that day, but then they stopped picking up their phones altogether when I would call for a status update. Never called back or showed. What absolutely terrible customer service. They also charge $100 more to winterize and dewinterize swamp coolers than competitors.
They came to fix my Furnace then a few days later was not working. we have a year warranty but they will not return a call or an email. I have called twice a day for week with no response. I wanted to use them as they were local but I DO NOT recommend.
Warning: do not hire Altitude if you value quality or level of service. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I don't want anyone else to fall victim to their horrible standards. I would advise you to check Yelp or Facebook as well where Altitude's reviews are more indicative of what you get.
We hired Altitude to install central AC in our house a couple of years ago. In doing so, they drilled extra holes in our exterior (ones they didn't end up using), and caused water damage on our bedroom ceiling.
We found out later from another contractor (who's great), that they used wiring that was not up to code, and failed to install a drip pan in our attic (also not up to code), and that missing drip pan caused the water damage in our ceiling.
After countless hours on the phone and coordinating via email, altitude did come back to bring their work up to code (I think because , however they did not fix the ceiling damage and went non-responsive on us.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Altitude Comfort Heating and Air. We called to have our swamp cooler repaired, they were able to come that day and said they can fix it. 30 minutes after the repair, we had water overflowing on our roof nonstop - we had to shut everything down. I called immediately, sent texts, left messages to both the woman who worked on the unit as well as the business. I've continued to reach out, no one has ever responded. It's 95 degrees and we still have a broken system, after paying almost $500 for the 'repair'. There are so many better options out there - it may be why this business was the only one who had availability. Save yourself the headache, frustration and the money, this business is terrible.
I have tried to like them but at this point must say Beware! AC replacement started out good, price was right and Doug seemed efficient on the phone. Installation done during cold weather, they had to come back in warmer weather to finish and didn't. Talked to Doug at least a dozen times and got the perpetual run around, eventually he stopped answering my calls and will not return messages left. Money paid for the work not done should be refunded. We did use his Tech- Amanda to finish the job on her own time. Paid her directly- She is AWESOME, a talented tech for sure. Doug- why wont you call me back- seems to be a common thread in the reviews.
I really wish I could give this company and their staff more than 5 stars. Another company in town had refused to honor their service and parts warranty and literally hung up on me when I called to tell them the furnace was not working. Altitude Comfort Heating and Air's professionalism, care and speed was a refreshing experience. They replaced the system, worked through some challenging issues in challenging times and kept me informed throughout the process. They truly went above and beyond and over a weekend no less. I HIGHLY recommend them to all!
I’ve been meaning to leave this review for a long time. Between selling a home and moving, and then covid, it just always got away from me. Anyway, we had Altitude out a few years ago when our heat went out, on Christmas Eve-Eve of all days. Turned out some sensor died. It was over $700. Sucked to pay but we felt fortunate we were able to pay it. A few weeks later, we were cleaning up our Christmas decorations outside and found the check we wrote... neatly folded and tucked in a wreath on our patio. I never noticed that it didn’t clear. I don’t know if they just waived it or maybe the technician paid it himself… not sure. But either way such an amazing surprise. The service was worthy of a 5-star review anyway, they came out same day and were courteous and professional. Then to surprise us with a Christmas gift like that… just amazing. Thank you!
I worked with Altitude a few weeks back. It wasn’t cheap and completely stopped working a few weeks later. I’ve tried to reach them many times without a single call back. I would advise going somewhere else in the future.
The people at Altitude Comfort were great. Doug quickly evaluated my needs and gave me an incredibly fair price on a new air conditioning system. No attempt to up sell. They worked hard to move our installation up on the schedule during extremely hot weather. The installer (Camden) was amazing and professionally installed the system with a great deal of attention to detail and left our home and furnace in actually far better conditioned. It is very hard to find a service team as good and responsive as my experience!

Do not hire these thieves. You will regret it.

They went under new management, I believe, and it's been amazing! It's woman owned now and they also took great care of me!
