I have worked with this company for several years and have always felt that this company is quite professional. I solely have worked with Brian on the various AC/heating issues that come up with the house. He is quite knowledgeable and professional. He also always discusses the issues at hand and his great at the education piece. He also is very reliable and is able to get to the house on short notice. I would highly recommend this company.
Woke up without heat and tried to trouble shoot ourselves, but with no success. Called Grand Home Service and they were super close by and able to be out within a half an hour. All the work was completed within 30 minutes after arrival. They had to replace an ignition switch and the total was a little less than $300. I thought that was reasonable price and their service was timely and professional. I put their phone number up on my fridge because if anything were to happen again, I'd call Grand Home right away.
We tried calling 1 hour heating and air and they said they couldn't get here until the afternoon. The price seemed comparable, but the number is some central call center and they try to set you up with a $29/month "plan" thing. I much preferred the personal feel with Grand Home and, of course, the fact that we could start heating our home 5 hours earlier! Highly recommend!
Brian was a wreath of knowledge when he came for our air conditioning tune up. We had several questions and he was able to point us in the right direction. Very efficient and courteous! We highly recommend Brian and this wonderful company!
I called this company on a snowy Sunday when our furnace was not operating. Brian answered the phone and took my work order. He showed up shortly and fixed the furnace working again. Brian is honest, professional and very knowledgeable. I will use him again and will highly recommend him to everyone.
Second time using this company for AC repair within 90 days. Upon completion of the second visit he stated the unit froze up and there wasn't anything he could do. Interesting approach but the unit is the original unit when the house was built in the early 90's, so it has been in service for quite some time - failures are bound to happen...I get that. But if you state that there is damage to the unit on both visits, and I ask you to be very specific about the amount of damage there is on the report, do not tell me that I am asking you to lie for me. You stated not once, but twice that the damage is impacting the performance and efficiency of the unit and I am simply asking you to be SPECIFIC; how much damage overall (ex: 70% damaged/30%normal) so that the warranty company has a good idea of what is going on. The accusatory and unprofessional approach to me asking you to do your job is unbelievable and helps no one. No s*** the unit is old but you stating that "it's old" on your report doesn't resolve the failure of the unit nor a temporary solution.
Was told that I needed a new gas valve and that it would be $800.00 to replace. I called 3 other HVAC companies and all said I was being ripped off and to run, I then had a reputable company come and tell me that all I needed was an air filter and that the gas valve is completely working fine and so was the furnace. These are the facts folks, from some of the other reviews below this seems to be this companies way of doing business. I think I'll call the BBB next! Buyers Beware!
Grand Home Services was quick to respond. The technician figured out the problem and had us up and heating with in 30 minutes. My neighbor recommended them to me and i'm glad i used them. I would recommend them too.
Grand Home Services is an excellent cooling and heating company. We just had air installed and their technician was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone needing cooling or heating services. VERY good company with honest people.
I had Brian over to check my AC unit. He seems to be the subject matter on such units. During the analysis of the outside unit, we had to change the capacitor which i knew was bad. Charge to replace capacitor was $305.00 This seems to be on the high end to me. Also, he added (22) ounce of the R-22 refrigerant which was $315.14 ($370.75 - 15% OFF). This was also high compared to the average price out there. Basically, i paid $229.00 per pound of R-22. Is this right? Anyways, i have paid $813.93 to replace capacitor, AC cleaning and tuning up, servicing the furnace, and adding (22) oz of R-22. Was this a fair price? Please let me know to either recommend this company or not.
Brian is a total rip off! He quoted the initial $89.50 service charge, did a lot of talking then ended up with a $500 quote to clean the AC and refill freeon. I would not recommend this fast talker.
