A good friend of mine recommended HVAC Consulting. She’d previously worked with them. I’m so glad so did. Each team member was so responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful handling the unexpected need to replace our HVAC unit. They really value great customer service.

I highly recommend Craig and his team if you are in need of a new HVAC system. Right from the start, everyone at the company was extremely helpful, communicative and friendly. They presented me with a number of options that would be right for my situation and everyone was easily available when I wanted to talk things over. The install of our new system went very smooth and has made a huge difference in cooling our house over the summer. Highest marks for HVAC Consulting Solutions!

Service the Way is Used to Be- this couldn't be more true. I was rebuilding after the Woolsey fire and kept receiving astronomical bids from a number of companies who really didn't seem like they even wanted my business. And then I met Craig. He made the trip out based on my schedule, listened to every concern and thought I had, was direct and clear in his communication, and had a comprehensive bid back to me within days!! Based on his professionalism, knowledge, and concise job quote, it was an easy decision. The guys showed up exactly when I needed them in the building process, delivered exceptional work, and I now have outstanding HVAC systems in all 4 structures on the property. Could not be more pleased with my decision.

Do yourself a favor and hire these guys. I know I'll be using them on every project I do moving forward.

Let just say HVAC Consulting Solutions is a 5 Star business! We've been having A/C problems for the better part of a year now, so I asked Craig to come take a look at our system. Within 1 day, Craig's main guy Mark came to our townhouse and inspected our unit. Mark showed my wife pictures of what he found and suggested that it's time to replace our unit that has been in service for over 30 years!!! We also agreed it was time as this unit wasn't working correctly and very inefficient. Just 4 days after Mark inspected our unit, we had struck a deal to replace our unit with a bigger, better, more efficient unit. Craig and his team came out literally 4 days after our initial inspection and installed this new unit effortlessly and without disrupting any of our neighbors in our townhouse. The job lasted most of the day due to the fact they had to uninstall the old unit, have Willingham Crane extract the old unit off our 3 story roof, and set the new unit in its place. Willingham Crane was masterful with his work!! Once everything was complete, Craig and Mark came in and double checked our vents to make sure the fan, heat, and A/C were working as planned. Mark even took the time to make sure our Nest Thermostat was hooked up correctly and working without fault. I can tell you now when our heat comes on it works so efficient it doesn't need to be on long, and our A/C is blowing ice cubes! Such a great experience from a wonderful company! My A/C quit working in the midst of an extreme hot spell. After another company failed miserably at any kind of repair or relief, HVAC Consulting Solutions was recommended by a friend. They came right out, diagnosed the issue, and I'm happy to say I now have A/C again. I couldn't be happier. They also found some additional issues that needed to be addressed to make the unit run better and more efficiently. Everything was done at half the price of other companies. Prompt, courteous, and excellent at breaking things down so I could understand. I highly recommend.

I was delighted with the HVAC Consulting Solutions experience. It started when I got their original bid, which I originally thought was a little high, owing to my naïve understanding of installation costs. I got 3 other bids from companies on Angie’s List – all of which were higher than the HVAC Consulting Solutions bid (with comparable “non-premium brand” equipment). The units I ended up with were AC PRO (not a name brand) – but they come with a 10 year warrantee – at least as long as any other manufacturer offered – so I feel good about that.

Another concern I had was the number of reviews – Angie’s List companies had 50 – 300 apiece. HVAC Consulting Solutions had a total of 7 reviews - on their own web site. When I asked Craig Scher (President) about this, he explained to me that he had been in business for 20 years, and had relied on word of mouth referrals to keep him busy. A company has to register with Angie’s List, and is charged for each lead. Craig hadn’t really felt the need to do this at all until earlier this year, when he signed up with Yelp. This may be a well-known arrangement to everyone else, but it was news to me. Craig also explained that he is very involved in the Canoga Park Chamber of Commerce – so he’s using more traditional networking methods – I won’t fault him there.

HVAC Consulting Solutions’s motto is “Service the way it used to be”. That might not do them justice. I just counted and have received 19 texts from Craig Scher, 5 emails, a nice little book of photographs documenting the installation and electrical work, and a personal thank you letter to top it all off. I’m in my 60s – I frankly don’t recall this much attention for any home improvement project… it only took two days, and everything was neat and tidy when they were done.

Finally, the system was installed in mid-May, and it’s been unseasonably cool since then… Until this week (June 10) topping off at 100+ yesterday. Our new system kept the house very comfortable – color me very satisfied.

I’ll update this review once I get my utility bill – I’ve been told to expect a significant reductions, but the proof will be in the pudding – my old central system is 30 years old; I expect to won’t be too hard to be more efficient with my modern equipment.

I couldn't be happier with my service from HVAC Consulting. I have had a flood in my condo (old building) and with that the old has floor/wall furnace was totally damaged and couldn't be repaired because the parts were so old. I had about 7 different HVAC contractors come in to give estimates and the quotes were all over the place and they all kept trying to oversell me on stuff maybe because I am young/female. I was SOOO frustrated with the entire process. People would constantly cancel and change plans on when they would show up. I honestly can't remember who referred me to HVAC Consulting Solutions now, but it was such a gift.

Mark my technician came out on time, he was super nice and knowledgable. I didn't understand all the shop talk he was referring to (not because I was unaware but just because I didn't have the experience). So he had Traci from their office put the whole itemized quote together. I told him what my goals were now (get heat) and in the future (potentially add AC at some point. My condo won't allow the compressor now and it's a big deal to change the bi-laws). They found me a solution that was both super economical, but also allows me the flexibility should I decide to add AC sometime in the future.

Traci walked me through the whole process step by step. Responded to my millions of questions. Worked with team to get the best cost, and was so helpful and professional. Job was completed professionally, billing was as promised.

Best part, they actually found a way to get me some rebates at the end after the job was completed and helped me do all the necessary paperwork to send that saved me an additional $250. I am writing this long review because I believe small businesses that go out of their way to take care of their customers, and help them, and provide excellent work and customer service should be rewarded and acknowledged. It's so hard to find, and I couldn't recommend them more!

As a growing franchise, we've had our fair share of experiences with HVAC companies over a 7-10 year span. They recently completed a big commercial job for us at our Chatsworth location, and exceeded expectations on many levels. Craig set the bar super high. There's an attention detail we haven't received in the past. He was the point of contact for the required permits, equipment financing, equipment rental (temporary a/c), and with the fire alarm company. There's a lot of steps we don't always think about it in advance, but arise, and Craig was there to handle all of them. Thank you.

This company is very professional. They set up a time to evaluate our A/C system and emailed us photos, along with written recommendations for servicing, and a quote. They returned later in the week and did the work in a timely way. The result is that the air that comes out of the vents colder more forcefully. The owner came out both the evaluation and the servicing and answered all of my questions. He couldn't have been nicer.

Showed up on time. Very professional. Exclaimed work to be performed. Reviewed job after completion. 100% solid recommendation!
