The two men from PGE who came to my house a couple days ago and inspected for energy inefficiency—places and things in my older house that were wasting energy and/or water—were themselves amazingly efficient at their jobs and so i am enthusiastically writing this review.
At first i was reluctant to let these guys poke around in my house because i hate workmen messing with my stuff but they had to to do their job. Shortly i began to appreciate the things they were doing.
They replaced ceiling floodlights, lightbulbs, a shower head, faucet aerators, thing in toilet tanks to save water, two outdoor porch light fixtures (!) checked safety of house heater and hot water heater, weather stripping, window leaks, ventilation conditions and insulation in garage and attic. The shower head and light fixtures all had cool modern features that improve the quality of life in my house.
They would have done even more and given me even more stuff but some things i didn’t want changed. That was the really great thing to me—to get the discount on my PGE bill i did not have to accept anything i did not want. If i did not like the change they were proposing for any reason, like not liking the appearance or effect or style, i didn’t have to accept it. I was completely in charge of every decision. You can even undo their changes and put the old bulbs and everything else back as it was if that pleases you.
I didn’t expect to like their energy saving improvements—because i’m particular about how things look and act. In fact they’ve been trying to pin me down for one of these appointments for about three years but i didn’t want to be bothered. Luckily they caught me in a moment of weakness and now i have less energy and water waste and some cool new stuff.
The other really great thing is something that meant a lot to me and i know to a lot of other people it’s important too—neatness. These two guys whose names i’m not happy to admit i never learned during the course of their visit, because i’d love to praise them by name, were both superlative in the neatness department.
I’ve been experiencing an unusual run of supremely neat workfolks—plumber, electrician, water heater installer, furnace installer, heating ducts re-doer and now these PGE guys. I don’t know what’s going on in the Universe lately because i haven’t been that good to deserve such good fortune. It must be some temporary wrinkle sending a string of perfectionists—because i can honestly report to any who care to know that these two PGE guys left not one single SPECK of detritus anywhere in or out of my house. My eagle eye could detect not one crumb or dot. Not a leaf was tracked in.
About their work and demeanor:
Forgot to say—FAST. Forgot to say NICE. One was fast, absolutely thorough and super-nice.
The other was super-fast, super-nice and utterly thorough and professional.
In other words, PGE is doing something right.

I just had a visit from the dynamic duo: Mario and Eric. They replaced the light bulbs all around the house, to energy efficient ones, and assessed several situations and advised us as to what would be the best action/s. They did this work professionally and with courtesy and integrity, and we appreciate their work so much. !Excellent people and excellent technicians! Thank you

This was an unexpectedly rewarding experience. The serviceman was very professional and skilled in the repairs he performed. He was kind and explained everything he was there to repair or replace, as well as the criteria that each area must meet to be addressed. Marco worked to insure we were comfortable with his work & methods he utilized to complete them. I was hesitant to seek assistance at all but this was an unexpectedly great encounter. This was a blessing in disguise.

It was very good but I feel that I could use 1/2 of time to really understand what I need to do.
