    This morning Mr. Saul Brseno came to our house to repair our furnace. His expert and timely service was truly exceptional. He researched the proper repair parts and installed them with great care. We were back "on line" very quickly.     The team at Zodiac HVAC have been very responsive, extremely professional and fairly priced. I used them to install two new air conditioners and heaters as well as the maintenance on these units. I have never had a bad experience, every interaction has been positive.

    Zodiac is five-star all the way and we couldn't be happier:

    *It started with the estimating process. The owner, Vic, was infinitely patient with all our questions, and provided multiple options for the Carrier A/C and heating units. Equally important, he was terrific at explaining, in simple layman's terms, the differences in the various levels, so we could make an informed decision about which models to choose.

    *Next, pricing (we all care about that, right?). Well, Carrier is a premium-priced company, so we were prepared that we'd be paying more than what a mid-grade unit would cost. Zodiac's pricing was very competitive for both the HVAC system and new duct work we needed, and they even threw in some extra work we needed at no additional cost.

    *Third, the installation. We'd been quoted that the job would take three days, but Vic and his brother Ed were able to get an extra crew to show up on day two, so the whole process only took two days. Beyond speed, let's talk care: the guys were great about laying down tarps, draping plastic, wearing booties, etc. to minimize the amount of dirt and dust caused by the installation. And where they had to cut into our wall, they were careful enough when they finished that we avoided any drywall repairs or paint touchups.

    *Fourth, problem resolution. As the saying goes, "stuff happens." There were a couple of minor issues along the way that became our "punch list" for the end of the job. You can really judge the character of a company by how they treat you when you have something that's not quite right. Avi (the crew chief) and his team were terrific, readily acknowledging the need to fix these things and doing so quickly.

    *Fifth, post-installation follow-up. Zodiac has been just as stellar in the period following our install. Whether it was answering questions about our fancy new wifi thermostat, scheduling the third-party inspector to test for leaks in the system, or explaining how to apply for a city rebate on the unit, everything has been handled flawlessly.

    So in summary, five great areas that merit a five-star review. If you're serious about going with the very best in air conditioning, go with Carrier. And if you're serious about going with the very best Carrier dealer in Los Angeles, hands down choose Zodiac. We were so taken with their quality that we've already signed up for their semi-annual Maintenance Member program, to enjoy their flawless service for years to come!

    Called today to try to coordinate an appointment for an estimate for a new ductless air system installation. Their website states they cover all areas in Los Angeles, including Pasadena. My property is located in Highland Park, which is the neighboring city to Pasadena, and CLOSER to Van Nuys (where they’re located) than Pasadena is. Well, they told me they don’t work out here. Disappointed I had to call them after 3 hours of waiting only to get this as a response. I liked their reviews and I really wanted them to do my project. Maybe they need to update their site to show which parts of Los Angeles they do go out to.

    Sept 2019=I called Zodiac Heating & Air Conditioning to perform the optimization program thru LADWP. We knew our 30+year old system was not efficient. It had never broken down. But nothing last forever.
    Although it was still working we knew the old system was not efficient. We decided to have total HVAC replacement with a 5 ton Carrier Infinity Series, new furnace was relocated in the attic, new ducting, and 19 seer air variable speed air conditioning. We also added 3 zones to adjust the temperatures in different parts of our home. The system is super quiet!!! We've gone high tech. We can adjust the temperatures via our cell phone
    The Zodiac staff were excellent!!! Very professional and they know what they are doing. Each day Avi, Henry, and Miguel, left our house and yard clean. We also appreciated that none of them smoked. Vic, the owner visited frequently during the installation. He was very easy to talked to. Bella in the office is really great. She was always ready to answer our questions.

    Sept 2020= OMG, we've had record summer temperatures at 120 degrees! Our home was super comfortable!!! We got a card in the mail to sign up for the annual maintenance. Twice a year for $185. Of course we signed up for it. A week ago it was nice to see a familiar face, Saul perform the maintenance, changed filters, checked temp. He was the tech who came a year ago and performed the LADWP optimization. We had pavers installed and the condenser was full of dust. Saul washed the condenser and cleaned the coils.

    We appreciate the honesty and integrity of this company. We are lucky to have found this company. Looking forward to a long term relationship. Highly recommend.

    Positive: They were able to competently fix the A/C.
    Negative: They increased the original quote by $600 claiming labor wasn't included, even though we specifically asked if it was. That started the frustration, and $600 still seemed like a lot for a couple of hours of work. When I asked what their hourly labor rate was, they informed me it was a fixed rate and that they could charge what they wanted as it was a place of business. Dealing with the manager, Bella, was miserable, and I would have loved to have taken my business elsewhere at that point. Unfortunately it was hot and every other place was booked for several days, so they knew they had me. Was sorry to see they acted like so many of the trades that gouge you when they know you are in a pinch. Go somewhere else - there are plenty of other places that can do the same work

    In general experience with Zodiac has been positive. Would recommend. Did fantastic job at house in Culver City. Did good job in Hawthorne. Downstairs is good and cool but have not been able to get good cool air to 2nd floor. Somewhat disapoointing.

    Zodiac Heating & Air installed my complete HVAC system, with ducting, a few years ago and have been my service provider ever since. Every interaction with them has been fantastic and I recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC service, repair or installation.
