Fast and great service. My AC went out on a Saturday. Sunday morning at 9am I called Affordable Air and a tech was out by noon. He didn't have the part needed so Jesse went to the shop and was back and my AC was repaired by 4pm. So happy to have my AC running for summer.

I’ve used Affordable Air a couple times now and I must say I love working with them. Both jobs were complex and they took care of everything. Couldn’t be more pleased with the end product.

Both my husband Jack and myself were very pleased with the service and work provided by your company, The two workman Tommy and Anthony were very polite and knew exactly what to do. They were very clean and did a outstanding job. This review is being given for Jack and Joy Hayek on Tenda Drive in Canyon Country, since they don't have a computer it is being delivered by the person above.

Erik, John, Jack and Jeremee were very professional and work at a speedy pace. They finished is the time they said they would and they left the house clean.

Our heat stopped working in one of the coldest weeks in Santa Clarita memory (okay, except for 1-2-11 where it SNOWED here). L.A. was under a freeze warning, and we were shivering. I bought a second space heater to cope, but we also called a few HVAC repair companies to get this thing fixed.

At the start, Affordable Air and Heating (AAH for the purpose of this review) were able to come out and assess on the day I called them, and it was after 3p. That was a good sign already. Anthony and a helper came out and took a look at the unit. Turns out it was a bad relay on the mainboard (motherboard to us PC buffs). I knew from reading other reviews that this was going to be an expensive repair, around $800-$1000. AAH quoted us $7500 for a totally new HVAC unit and it started to make financial sense, considering that our unit was 32 years old and replacement parts were unavailable or not readily available.

We'd kept our old HVAC limping along for years with many fixes over the years, but it was inefficient. Anthony correctly guessed that our electric bills would be quite high, and he was right. I couldn't figure out why my electric bills were so high.

Anyway, we went ahead with the replacement of the old HVAC with a new Goodman unit. AAH directed us to the HERO program for financing, which allows homeowners to repay the loan through property tax billing. Not bad. There was another program more like a traditional loan. We went with HERO and got approved after a process that was surprisingly painless.

There was a snag, where the crane operator didn't feel comfortable working with our unit so far away (it's a townhome complex, no easy access). So, they had to get the BIG crane at a cost of $1400. AAH felt bad about springing this extra cost on me and agreed to cover half of the expense. I agreed, and installation commenced. AAH helpfully did the work to add this to our HERO program loan with an addendum, and Anthony apologized for having to spring this on me. Thank you for that.

Tommy and Francisco did a great job getting the old unit removed and the new one installed. Seeing that huge and TALL crane lifting the HVACs was quite a site. It was a Bob the Builder moment indeed. They installed the new thermostat and ran the A/C and heat to make sure the combo unit was working properly (it was). There's a smell associated with all of the new parts coming alive for the first time (kinda like when you get a new motorcycle exhaust) but they called it 'the smell of success' and that went away in a couple days.

The heat has been working amazingly well. Thank you to Affordable Air and Heating for all of your helpful explanations of the process and getting that new HVAC installed safely and quickly.
