Virginia Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning

This company and staff are absolutely amazing. From the second I called I spoke with Brandy, I let her know that our air conditioner stop blowing cold air. My husband is turning 80 this month with heath issues, and with it over 100° outside the urgency was high. Within 15 minutes I received a text that a gentleman was in route to come to my home. Within an hour the air was back on and everything was perfect. I can’t thank Brandy enough and this amazing company for what they did for my family.

I recently had an AC cooling issue on my property in Tracy. My property manager contacted Virginia mechanical.
For diagnostic they took 200$ and found leak in system. They gave estimate of 3019$ for the AC repair and had to get a part which was under warranty. But they couldn’t get it done till October. For temporary cooling they said refrigerant can be replaced until the unit is fixed. They charged around 1700$ for 14lbs of refrigerant. And the cooling lasted for just 3 days. When I call back they say we can’t guarantee how long it lasts.
Just after 3 days the system is stopped cooling again. They recommended the work which they were not sure of. They were dishonest about it. They gave a recommendation and did the work when they didn’t know if it would work. They didn’t tell me that it might not work when I called them before. Now even to see why the cooling is not working they want to charge me again. They obviously don’t guarantee their work for even a week. I’m running away from these guys. Never experienced such a dishonest, unprofessional HVAC service.

I recently called Virginia Mechanical for AC maintenance and was greatly impressed by their service. The price for AC tune up & inspection was low compared to other local companies and the technician went above & beyond in his work. Technician Manuel Silva spent hours thoroughly cleaning our system and even offered professional advice. The price paid for hours of labor was definitely a bargain. My AC runs better than it ever has and I will for sure be going to Virginia Mechanical for any future AC/Heater needs.

We have used Virginia Mechanical to service our HVAC for the past couple of years. This year, during the middle of a heat wave, our AC went out. In the end we decided to replace the furnace, condenser, and whole house fan. Bill Mathern responded quickly and provided a fair price. They scheduled us in as quickly as possible, and were kind enough to provide a portable AC unit, so that we had some comfort until they were able to get the work completed. The team of Manuel (Foreman), Jesus, and Joey were very professional, prompt, and respectful of our home. They did excellent work and the new system works exceptionally. I cannot say enough good things about the team at Virginia Mechanical.

I made an appointment with the Office Manager specifically after they completed a full HVAC inspection on a new home I purchased. They didn’t show up for the appointment set and didn’t even call. When I finally decided to call (hours after the missed appointment), the woman who answered the phone told me a tech would call me soon.

I never heard from anyone at Virginia Mechanical (it’s now been over a week later) and ended up calling another HVAC company. I’m very disappointed with the service I received and will not be using them in the future.

This place tried to screw me for thousands of dollars! Or at the very least sent an incompetent technician...

My home Air Conditioner stopped working a few weeks ago so I called Virginia Mechanical and they sent out a tech to trouble shoot it. After inspection he showed me a photo of the compressor and said that the compressor terminals were fried and that it COULD NOT be repaired. He gave a quick guesstimate of $2500 for a new compressor, but since the unit was over 20 years old recomended that I should consided replacing the whole unit instead of putting that much money into an old one. After another quick quesstimate of $7500 for a new AC I told him Id have to get back to them on that...and paid him the $60 service charge.

I figured I should have another AC company come and give me a second opinion before I spent thousands of dollars to get my family out of the 100+ degree heat. And am I glad I did. The tech confirmed that the compressor terminals were broken, but that he COULD repair them no problem! An hour later my Ac was on and cooling my house! Total cost? $275.

This was my expierience with Virginia Mechanical, take it for what you will.

Whether it is the middle of hot summer or freezing cold winter I know I can trust Virginia Mechanical to be here to help me and my customers when we need them the most!
