Guthrie & Sons HVAC

Zach, our technician, was excellent. He kept us informed as to what he was doing. He showed my husband how to replace the air filter since it wasn't very dirty this time. We had service at the end of the season last time.

Zach even showed us how to install a new thermostat so we didn't have to pay extra for him to install it. Then, Zach went above and beyond to help us cut back some ivy that had gotten out of control in our jade plants.

We have used Guthrie & Sons since at least 2016 and have always had great service. We will continue to use them too.

The removal of the old direct Heating and ducting went without a hitch. The installation of the new air conditioning and heating unit went very smoothly and I was impressed with every one of the workers. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. They were well equipped to deal with any process problems. I give five stars for this group.
As part of the installation contract, Guthrie and Sons sent a worker named Wayne to replace the filter and check our air conditioning condenser. He was friendly and knowledgeable and even slipped on the covers over his shoes as he came through the house. The work was performed very quickly. Another five star performance by Guthrie and Sons.
Zack visited today for yearly maintenance. Filter changed out and the unit is working optimally. We'll done.

It’s so easy to have Guthrie & Sons be our HVAC company. I love it! They do what they say they’re going to do. The people who work on your unit show up on time and are clean and respectful. There’s no reason I would look anywhere else for service.

They were professional in their dealings with us. Always kept us informed throughout the installation process and finished earlier than their original estimate. We haven’t used our new mini-split system much because the weather has been mild and pleasant but I’m sure there will be no problem with using the system for our comfort needs. Thank you, Guthrie & Sons for a job well done. You are the best!

Our Furnace went out December. Having worked with Guthrie & Sons before, we called them and they sent Zach out right away. He did a great job diagnosing the problem, and showing us (with pictures) what we would be dealing with down the line. We wanted to replace our out of date ac unit anyway. Zach explained what the different levels offered were, and what financing was available. He did not try to pressure or upsell us. The next week, Phil came and installed everything, including a new thermostat. He did a great job installing the new systems, and was very thorough in putting things back the way he found them. He made sure to answer all our questions.

2 years ago I was bullied by this company to remove my negative review. I tried to move on since then, however after spending $25k on 2 new AC units with them, I continue to have issues with both units that I purchased in 2017, making them 4 years old.
I had an issue with one of the units about 2 years ago and asked them to fix it. They claimed it wasn't their problem. I had a 3rd party confirm it was a bad install, wrote a bad review and THEN they agreed to fix it after calling me 10x to remove my bad Yelp review.
Here I am again and now my other AC unit installed at the same time is having the same issue the other unit did. Again, I called Guthrie and sons who refuse to be accountable for their install, even after again having a 3rd party confirm they should be responsible.
Please don't be deceived by the good rating as I'm sure I'm not the only person they have done this to. If you write a bad review, you will get a phone call and ask you to remove it. I also filed a complaint with the BBB

Dave J was great and very thorough. On time, informative and he described every step of his actions in detail. He was a pleasure and he and Guthrie & Sons are highly recommended!

We think that Guthrie and Sons did an outstanding job on our AC replacement. Andrew is knowledgeable and highly competent - both men were - and they worked diligently to perform the job. There was a glitch with an interface board that failed after installation and system checkout, but Guthrie responded quickly and corrected the issue. We both think that the new system is a significant improvement, and we are very happy with the outcome. We highly recommend Guthrie and Sons.
