Repairs aren't cheap, but I liked the fact that he came in professionally dressed, got right to business and found the problem within 15 minutes. Took good pictures to show me, explained the issue and what the repair entailed. This is the second time I have used Service Champions and I called them first because of how they did the last time they came out.

On June 7th we mistakenly used this company for a tune up on our AC unit. the previous week, there were some 90-degree days, and the AC unit was not keeping up. A guy named M Jess ( on the invoice) came out to look at it from Service Champions. He checked it out and came back saying that it was a very old unit and needed replacement and gave some other options. We weren't asking for that. we just wanted the $89 deal to tune it up. He wanted to charge us $1500 to add Freon, Option 1-he gave us a quote for $2700 for a diagnosis due to freon was low. Option 2- a quote for $2383 for a system renovations and Option 3-lastly, the option for replacement was $4000-8000. Fortunately, we have a home warranty so only paid him the $89 charge and he went on his way. we would have used the home warranty first except they don't do tune ups, just repairs. the guy at service champions did nothing. the next day, the home warranty guy came out and said the caps were missing and that is why Freon was lower than normal. He replaced the caps, inspected unit and there was no leak or problem. He said it was not that old and worked fine. He tested it after adding freon for $200 and it was fine. It has been working fine ever since. We have some neighbors that are much older and I worry for ppl that may have just taken this guy at his word and paid a lot of money for services they did not need. I ended up calling the company back and asking for a refund. they gave me one.

Andrew Kalkofen is a FANTASTIC Technician ! Andrew is professional courteous and thorough. He very efficiently completed a safety inspection and routine air filter cleaning. Andrew very patiently and thoughtfully explained to me the Service Champion home health report card and technician recommendations from my appointment today.
He explained that I may wish to trim up the bushes located around my air conditioner to increase airflow. And Andrew detected a flood prevention switch that was missing from my heating unit. He clearly explained the problem and installed a new switch right away.

Nathan's Story-My Mosaic Down Syndrome Journey
I had no idea that finding a “trustworthy” HVAC company would be so difficult and stressful. After 3 different companies came out and gave me different estimates, I decided to go with the estimate from Service Champions. Steve came out & gave me the most detailed and thorough explanation that actually made sense. He was very knowledgeable and replaced the thermostat. They’ll be coming out again to replace the txv next. I’ll give an update once that’s done. If they do a good job again I’ll be a returning customer. I’ve already signed up for the annual maintenance.

Vibrating while heating. Luis was able to explain and adjust the system to minimize and vibration. Rerouted black iron natural gas supply line away from wall. Ran diagnostic heating schedule. Minimal vibration. Great cleanup job.

Was not pleased with the salesman ( they call technician) but he was nothing less than a salesman. Never sign up on the spot. He was pushy and worked on commission. The salesman asked if a mask was needed. I said yes and then he continued to not wear one. There were high risk health reasons and I found that to be so disrespectful. They work with the 3 step system, technician that will tell you what's broken and the salesman that will try to closed with the hard sale. Then they have a follow up call if you don't sign up from a different person to hit you from a different angle. Sales work is typical but what got me was the clear disrespect for not masking up. Plus the work is on the high end if you do you research you will find lower price.
