Esser Air Conditioning And Heating

The Esser work staff were very good. Esser replaced my strange hybrid system with both a new compressor and new heater/air blower. It was installed relatively quickly and they did a great job with clean up. So why only four stars? Well, the heater/air blower is much louder than my old system and doesn't even have a real filter. The air filter it comes with has literally a zero MERV which wouldn't be bad if it took real air filters. Unfortunately, a real air filter puts pressure on the door because there isn't enough room for a real filter to fit; I will be shocked if the cheap plastic latch works for more than a few filter changes. (I have to use a real filter because my cat was sneezing the first few days without one due to all the dust we have in the valley.) Update: We'll see how it goes but I got a call from Esser and they will be coming out to see about the filter issue when I get to PS. There's a good chance this will be five stars by the time they're done. Update 2: Esser came fairly quickly after I posted this. The review stays four stars. Yes, I can use a filter with their heater/air blower; it only takes 18"x30" (try to find a top quality filter with those dimensions without ordering online) and I often can't watch my TV while it's running due to the excessive noise. I will say they do care about their service but I do question the quality of the products they use.
