If you have a lot of money, own a winery or do not care when your residential repair job gets done - call Reliable Refrigeration Inc. Our first time experience with this Company was not as expected. The Owner and field technician could not identify our heating unit made in the USA (Tennessee) for a part replacement. A week later, and a follow up call initiated by me, I was told, “ I have spent too much time on this”. Hearing this, a quick call to the manufacture, by me, and 30 minutes later, the part was sent to Reliable overnight. Almost two weeks later a simple part repair was complete. It took the technician 30 minutes to make the repair. Lesson learned: Before you call for a repair on your heater or AC, ask for a free estimate, and ask for the hourly rate. Also, ask if the technician have the tools on the truck necessary to do a simple leak test, which is common for HVAC failures. If not, you will be charged a return visit to do the test. For an honest and consumer friendly repairperson, call Steve’s Heating And Cooling or Adam Eck HVAC. Both are local and experienced for in person residential repair work. They also won’t break the bank.
Patrick from Reliable came to my house for the service call. I was charged $85 for a 15 minute service call involving putting a couple screws in the outside unit to get rid of the noise xoming from the unit. He was not willing to connect a piece of AC duct work in the attic that is laying right next to a AV connection vent - he said that is a separate service call in which an assessment will cost $150 (I already know what needs to be done - seems like a simple fix) and then there are additional charges for anything they would do to the ducts. In my opinion this company doesn't model good customer service and has lost my business!
Installed A/C. Fantastic job. Great crew. No problems. Even installed my Nest thermostat. Cleaned up. Explained everything. VERY SATISFIED with the service
AMAZING SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE! During the 100+ heat wave we're having, all of the a/c repair people were so busy that they didn't even return my call. However, Jeff from Reliable called me within an hour. He was so knowledgeable and friendly! He was able to fix my a/c unit within 20 minutes, and we're now enjoying a cool house. I HIGHLY recommend them! Plus, their pricing was about half the price of the two places I was able to get a hold of.
I have always found Reliable Refrigeration very attentive and helpful. I have called them several times over the years for furnace inspections and never hesitate to refer them. They did our new HVAC system at our home and have done repairs and installations our rentals. Good service, fair price and they answer questions. Local people doing a good job.
Unfortunately, Reliable was anything but. I called on the recommendation of a contractor and their representative came to my house, removed the damaged blower wheel and motor, took it to their shop and called me later that day with a nearly $1,000 repair quote, including $500 to replace the motor and $250 for a new blower wheel.
Dissatisfied and shocked at the quote, I went to Reliable and took back the damaged part. I then had a friend pull the motor and test it. It worked fine. I went online and ordered the same blower wheel for $90.
Bottom line was that another repairman came out and reinstalled the unit for $200. So the final cost to me was $290, not $1,000. What bothered me most is that Reliable couldn't be bothered to pull the motor and check it before quoting me $500 to replace it.
My wife and I have used Reliable several times over the past 5 years for both the furnace and the air conditioning unit. Each time they have sent a helpful and friendly technician as quick as possible. The technicians have been knowledgeable and offered sound advice on service and preventative maintenance.
We were having an issue with our heater, so I called Reliable Refrigeration and Joe came out on time and listened to what I described as the problem and promptly found the issue inspecting and cleaning my flame sensor.
We are very thankful for your quick and knowledgeable service.
Five BIG STARS for these guys. On time,Professional, thorough, and helpful. Fair price, ....probably a small family owned business that takes old fashioned pride in meeting the customers expectations. Reliable! Good name for this outfit.
The cold snap hit us a couple of weeks ago and I left messages with Gina and George and never received a call back. Finally got someone and they said it might be the end of next week to get to me and they would call. Meantime no heat. They said they would call me back. NEVER DID. Still Waiting! I got another company to come and they fixed the problem which was work that was repaired improperly by Reliable several years ago. Reliable lost me as a customer forever!

Hardly my definition of reputable.
