On a hot day, our AC just stopped working. When we tried our heating, that didn't work either. We just bought our home 7 months ago, so we knew our home warranty would cover it. We called our home warranty and a person came out, and two hours later the guy said "Sorry, it must be a wiring issue, or the Honeywell dual zone panel needed to be replaced (also not under warranty)". We were out $85, and everything was still broken.

We needed AC and heating, so we decided to just call someone local in Gilroy to help us. We saw that LJ Mechanical Heating and Cooling Inc. had all 5 star reviews so we gave it a shot! He came came over immediately and went through hours or troubleshooting to figure out what was wrong. AND HE DID!! Turns out, the home warranty guy was wrong, it WAS a part in our AC unit! He replaced the part and made sure it was all running as intended. He was VERY nice, extremely professional, and gave us an extraordinary deal because we were out the money from that guy who didn't help us.

Larry is a decent honest man, and he turned a frustrating and terrible experience into a good one. He even recommended this amazing place we now take our puppy to for training! Larry and his assistant (Thomas) were punctual and focused on our issue with the A/C unit. Once diagnosed, Larry provided an accurate estimate and completed the work efficiently and as quoted. Larry was extremely professional and courteous and completed the work to our satisfaction.

I had a unit prepping for sale and came across a mold issue. Larry came by to help test the hvac pump at no cost. When root cause for the mold was not found, my agent called Larry back and explained the situation. Larry made the time to diagnose the problem found and repaired the issue in a timely manner as we were up against a deadline to list the property. I agree his customer service and clear explanations are top notch. I highly recommend him and his son.

I had recently had my air ducts completely cleaned out, the full works. Unfortunately they wired my AC back wrong so when I turned on the AC on, regular air was being circulated not cold air. I found this out the hard way when I closed all the windows, left the house, and came back to a sauna. The company I used was totally professional and did a great job with the ducts, but was unavailable to come fix the wiring issue until the end of next week. I called LJ Mechanical and explained the situation. Larry was really nice, understood exactly what the issue was, and although he had a busy schedule as well, managed to come by the next day with his son and fix the the wiring. AC now works great! Larry and his son Laurence were both kind, communicative, and he didn't charge me anything, which I insisted that I pay something, but his mind was made up. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of any Heating & Cooling services just off of the customer service alone. Thank you.

We had Larry replace an old air conditioning and heating unit in our mobile home. Obtaining the permit took longer than we expected, but once obtained he scheduled the installation quickly. His crew was great, and seemed very knowledgeable of everything required. Finished off in less than a day, and cleaned up and re- installed the skirting just like they were never there. Larry assured we met inspection and communicated with the inspector to make sure we met all requirements. Very competitive price and good experience for us. We recommend highly.

My Air Conditioning Unit needed a new Capacitor and it took him only minutes to find and repair the problem. Larry was on time and in and out quickly. He also checked the thermostat for me and it was working properly. I will use him again and high;ly recommend his services! It was miserably hot today here in Gilroy, now I’m cooling off.

We had an excellent experience. Larry came out on a weekend on his day off to help us out. We called and he showed up just 2 hours later. Very professional and fix the issue quickly. Prices were are really reasonable. Would totally 100% recommend him to others.
Next time are heater heater has an issue we will be giving Larry a call!
