Our refrigerator icemaker water supply valve finally gave up, with a small, slow leak at the supply line valve. The icemaker supply set-up was unusual in that it was actually connected to an old, no longer used sink coldwater shut-off valve in our laundry room. This was not an emergency, so Castroville Plumbing and Heating arranged to come out to fix within a few days. A time window was provided, and sent by text, with reminders the day before, and again just before the technician arrived. Because he found that this was not a typical icemaker hook-up, our tech had to run to the hardware store for new replacement valves, (he suggested we update both the cold and hot supply shutoff valves at the same time, as we knew they were both very old.) Our tech showed up in the window of time promised, and after a quick tour to find the house main shut-off, had everything fixed and water back on in no time. Our repair bill arrived via email, and was easy to pay securely online with a credit card. Bonus points to Alan for getting along with our pup right away, too!
