As a new homeowner with appliances that we’re having issues I reached out to HVAC promax to have my refrigerator and freezer repaired they were not cooling properly. I paid about $430 for a technician to replace the thermostat and the gasket around the freezer technician did not replace the gasket around the refrigerator it’s been two weeks including the wait For the gasket portion. The technician has come out twice and was professional enough, but was late each time repair only lasted one day contacted company several times was assured that the technician was on his way technician never showed up for the third repair requested funds back today September 7, 2022 will update once refund received which receptionist Mike stated would be in approximately two business days. Made Mike aware that if I do not receive my refund within the next week I will be reaching out to my attorney to begin taking legal action. This is unacceptable and as I explain to Mike my family could be getting sick from improper food storage and we have been losing food for the past two weeks as we waited on repairs.

Very professional, on time, and quick! The price was reasonable too, we didn't have to replace our refrigerator, which was nice. I thought he would have to come back, but he knew the exact problem and fixed it right then. I hope I won't need them again, but if another appliance breaks down, they will be the first company I call.

UPDATE 11/17 : ProMax customer service reached out and attempted to reconcile the poor service. We worked collaboratively to figure out a solution for the poor service and experience. Their customer service is excellent--I just hope this continues to be reflected in their service team.
Original Review: I give credit to ProMax for consistent messaging and communication about when the tech would arrive. That's where the experience peaked. When the tech arrived, he was not able to fully understand/communicate about the machine issue,due to language barriers. All in favor of equitable opportunity, but you must be able to understand and communicate technical issues when you repair appliances. After attempting to explain the issue he proceeded to run various cycles on my machine and started wrenching on the machine. After some lound noises (I was in the next room over working), he said he knew what the issue was--a broken motor. Before the tech arrived the machine was functioning fine, just with a very loud noise. He never fixed the sound we originally called for and now the machine doesn't spin after his "diagnosis". He definitely broke the motor that he was suggesting to repair for $360! Way too expensive and he said it may not work and we might have to buy a whole new apparatus to fix it. Needless to say I thanked him, paid the baseline fee and will be seeking either a new machine or a new repair service. For these reasons I would not recommend ProMax.

Amazing service. 16 month old washer wouldn't drain - Alex found the problem (some damaged wiring), fixed, and checked to make sure all other parts were in good repair - which took about an hour! And this was at 8 in the evening! Alex was competent, friendly, and obviously knowledgeable. Will definitely use again! Thank you!

The first time we had them come for our refrigerator it could have been one of two things that were a problem. The gentleman gave us the option of repairing the less expensive part or the more expensive part and educated us on what could happen with each choice. We went the less expensive route and it worked. 6 months later we needed the refrigerator repaired again. Turns out the refrigerator wasn’t broken the problem was due to operator error. The gentleman got it to run properly again. We got the same tech both times. He’s very kind and clean. He is quiet too, he works hard. Both times I’ve called, he came same day. I don’t know if it is because I’ve gotten lucky or if they make sure to come same day. Other places in the area are booked out a half week or longer. I will be a returning customer to this company.

I had gone through my home warranty company for freezer repairs on my Sub Zero. The warranty company sent out two different companies over the course of ten months. They “attempted” to fix the issue with no results and replaced some of the parts four times!! I finally took matters into my own hands and called Pro max. Pro Max came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. The parts were ordered and received within days. They returned to complete the repairs and ultimately rebuilt the entire freezer. I was skeptical and after having such a horrible experience with the two previous repair companies, little faith. Dimitry, the Pro Max technician went above and beyond to ensure the work was completed and done properly!! I now have a working freezer and ICE after almost a year of getting the run around. I COULD’NT RECOMMEND PRO MAX ANY HIGHER. VERY IMPRESSED!!!!!

After almost two months I am still waiting on a refund from this company on a repair that did not fix the issue with my freezer. The service was done on 4-3 they returned on 4-4-22,
The service technician did not know how to fix the problem.
I was told at that time I would receive a refund for $150.00 . That it would take about five business day's.
Today is 5-31-22 I have yet to see the refund.
I have called the office four different times sense the original service date.
Only to be told that it's being processed, it was processed, l i dont know why you haven't received it. Let me talk with my manager and I'll get back to you. We have written a letter to our accounting department.

This company I will never use again, and will steer others needing appliance repairs away from.

This review is strictly on my repair technician, NAUM. I have a stackable washer and dryer. This was disclosed at the time I made my appointment. Not only was the stackable a challenge but it is in a very tight location. When he saw it was stackable he said this is a job for 2 technicians. He knew there were none available at my appointment time. He evaluated the equipment and said he'd try and do it himself. Well due to his tenacity he was able to access the area of the washer where the hose was dislodged. He reattached the hose and buttoned up the equipment. This took quite a while due to the challenges.

These guys are awesome. They have all of the qualities you’d be looking for. They are friendly, prompt, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. We actually enjoy having them in our home! I don’t want to say I look forward to an appliance breaking down but I sure don’t mind it as much now:)

Was quick to respond and spent 1:45 minutes tearing down my fridge to find the problem. It was their part ordering speed and response that was most impressive. I highly recommend this impressive company. I will use no other.
