Service Champions Plumbing, Heating & AC

Great AC and Heating company with some of the best people I have ever met. That goes without question. The plumbing service however is far below average.

My plumbing job took over a MONTH to finish to clear a drain and install a shower in another bathroom. It required them to open up a wall in a room behind my shower and break open concrete into dirt to reach my drain. Which they DID fix. However, when looking at the bathroom from the outside, there is an access point to the drain which wouldn't require them to break open a whole wall or pull up carpet. A simple walk around would have spotted this. The caulking and spout are also coming off. The baseboard and wall next to where they worked is also entirely water damaged and falling apart. I do not know the extent of the damage just yet.

Call them for AC and heating. Avoid the plumbing at all costs.

I just learned that my parents about a year and half ago paid 26 thousand dollars to replace their 4 ton AC unit to their 2000 square foot home. Yeah, 26 grand! They didn't even replace the ducting! They told me that my parents got the gold level package which included everything you see in the pictures, plus a new furnace. And that's not even their top package! Who knows how much it would have cost for their "presidential package"... $30k??? I know several friends and family that do hvac on the side, and professionally, and this cost almost two years ago (and even today) is absurd! Not to mention, that they were gouging my parents on their "monthly" service as well! My parents live in Long Beach. Not the desert. Not the mountains. Long Beach. I could understand a quarterly service, but let's be real. For a residential customer, twice a year is the most anyone should ever need! IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE MONTHLY SERVICE. STOP! YOU'RE GETTING RIPPED OFF! They also ruined my parents attic space by blowing in insulation all over the place. Again. We're talking about Long Beach. 25 blocks from the beach...
Well, my dad is now 87 and one of us kids will be getting power of attorney soon. I still can't believe that there are despicable people/companies like service champions out there that are just looking to take advantage of older people. Very sad.
Not to mention, the unit that was replaced was 6 years old...

Adrian Salas and a co-worker did an excellent job demoing my old leaking toilet and installing a new one. They laid down a floor canvas to keep the floor clean, inspected the old toilet before demoing it, then they inspected the toilet flange, and then vacuumed all around the toilet area before installing the new rubber/plastic ring and new toilet. They tested flushing it about a dozen times before cleaning everything up. It took about 1 hour to complete so I was a happy camper. They were not only very professional but very friendly and knowledgeable too. I highly recommend them if you want quality work done.

We have Service Champions fix our heater and we are super happy with the overall experience! The repair was slightly delayed due to the part being backordered but that was out of Service Champions control. Our technician Leandro Alcantar was super nice and even changed the air filters in all vents.
We will be using Service Champions again!

Oronde did an excellent job with our annual furnace/heating-system maintenance. He was very thorough, and took time to explain the various procedures he had performed. He also showed pictures of the equipment, indicating those areas which looked good as well as those areas with potential trouble spots. All in all, a very professional and courteous visit !

Service Champions has some of the best work ethics in the city. Timely, communicative, thorough, and friendly! My landlord has used their services consistently and it’s quite obvious why. Technician Jeffrey came yesterday for a seasonal HVAC cleaning and communicated every step of the way. The vents looks near-spotless after the job! Keep up the great work guys!

So first off, their quality is top notch. Every service, installation and workmanship is what you would expect out of someone working on their own home and equipment. They really go above and beyond to not only do the work at a 100% level, but they make it LOOK like they've done it at that level and every technician that has been to my home has represented the company as if they were the owner and the business depended on them personally. They do charge what the work costs, you are not gonna find a bargain short-cut. If you have the money, definitey cannot recommend Service Champs enough....TOTALLY worth it.

We hired Service Champions to do some maintenance on our AC and Heating units. Since the tough summer months are upon us. Anthony arrived within the 2 hour window as promised. He was very professional and a really nice guy all around. He did his best to work around our two dogs! He involved me as he progressed with the inspections/maintenance. Which was great and gave me an understanding of where our system stands. As Anthony progressed, I was soon greeted by the arrival of Angel his supervisor. That was out doing house calls checking up on his team as well as offering any assistance to us homeowners for questions or concerns. He even chatted it up with my 13yr old son for a while. Which is awesome that a complete stranger that you allow into your home, can be so nice as to take a minute to chat. Anthony finished his inspection/maintenance of our heating unit in the attic and even changed out our inlet filter. I signed up to their Champ Rewards program, and hopefully we will be seeing Anthony (and maybe Angel) in the near future. I would highly recommend Service Champions for all your HVAC and plumbing needs. Some of the nicest most informative people you will ever meet. Keep it up guys, thanks again to Anthony and the Service Champions team!

James Mares was the technician sent out for our appt from A/C tune up. James was professional, great friendly personality. He didnt pressure us and explained everything we needed to know in terms we understood. He did an extremely thorough job. I hope we can request him as our technician for next year's appointment. They really do good deeds for free too - Assembled a light and tuned my guitar. Really nice guy and did a great job cleaning my AC unit. Highly recommend.
