We are extremely happy with Jim Beard, the owner, and his team. We had two state of the art units, a 3 1/2 ton and a 4 ton, installed by only three guys, Greg, Ryan and Gerardo (all very friendly, helpful and funny) in less than 6 hours and the units are running perfectly with no problems. The units are a tight fit in their closets with just about a couple of inches of space to spare. However, these guys are attic rats, they get into places that I would never even contemplate to get it, and they do it gracefully and a with a smile. Jim knows how to pick his employees and treats them like old friends. We had a small hiccup with the rebate from TEP and Jim and Rick were there every day to make sure it happened, regardless of their additional work and time, for that we are very grateful.

Jim was involved in every aspect of the job, including the all important first hour of the installation. He was very accessible and will promptly return calls, you can count on that. And his cost for the work was very competitive and fair, it beat other's estimates.

I have already referred Family Air to my friends and will keep an eye for if and when they need new units installed.

We also have a maintenance contract with them that the office will follow up and make the appointments as required.

Now we can look forward to a cool summer, at least indoors...

I do recommend Family Air.

The purchase and installation of an ac system on my house was a very smooth and professional process. The unit has not worked efficiently but the owner Jim has been working hard to figure out how to adjust the system to function properly. Jim is a good guy and very funny. He wants to do things the right way and I appreciate that about him. We suspect now the problem was the thermostat. He replaced that and I'm waiting for the bill to see if there is greater efficiency. I suspect that was the problem.

I took close to a dozen competing proposals and bids to replace my non-functioning A/C-Furnace with a new unit. In my own research, I kept coming to the same advice: It isn't the unit you buy, it's the people who install it that matter. As such, it was important to me to find a company who I trusted to do the job right, not just the cheapest bid. Family Air came recommended to me from a relative, and ended up being one of the most competitive bids as well as being extremely professional. My A/C had kicked out right at the start of the "hot season" here in Arizona, and most companies were two weeks out when I contacted them. When I called and told them I was interested in going with their proposal I was informed that given my situation they could have a team there to do the install practically next day. The representative who helped me, Kurt Astorga, was extremely accommodating, willing to work with me and go the extra mile. It's been over a month now and the unit has been perfect so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of A/C install, repair, or maintenance.

Edit: Three years in, and the unit is still functioning great. No issues so far!

Family Air is the Best of the Best. I will ALWAYS use Family Air and I highly recommend them for new install or service. I have 4 AC units on 3 homes and they have installed 2 of the 4 units and maintain them all. Jim and the rest of the Family are all stand up professionals with the highest integrity. Jim didn't originally quote my new install with a crane but a crane was needed after all but he didn't charge me for the crane. My original AC concrete pad was too small for the new unit so Jim added concrete and made it larger. My next door neighbor has bricks under his new $20,000 AC units that an unprofessional and over priced AC company used to increase his AC pad size. My neighbor has these 2 giant AC units sitting on bricks and it looks terrible. One of my rental properties has a 20 year old AC unit that I asked Ken to look over for a possible replacement while he was inspecting it for an annual routine maintenance check-up. Ken said it is good for now and has a year or two left in it. I cannot imagine any other AC company not jumping on this opportunity to make a sale. Ken, Jim and the rest of the Family Air Family live a life of high moral fiber.

Family Air is not only the Absolute Best for install/service but their prices can't be beat. Give them a ring and you'll immediately understand. This is Family and they are much more than a business.

We went with Family Air because of all of the great reviews...and they did not disappoint! Tim gave me a call about 30 min prior to arrival, so I wasn't stuck at my house waiting for him. He was very professional and thorough. After reading reviews for other companies, I was worried that our A/C would cost thousands of dollars to fix, but Tim was honest with us about what wasn't working and it was a simple, inexpensive fix! We will definitely use Family Air again!

I want to say first that Family Air serviced our AC unit for 5 years and provided great service. That is why when we moved into a condo that needed a new AC unit we thought of them first. The customer service was a very disappointing experience. We were told the time for a new AC unit to be installed would be in 1 week, the unit was finally installed 10 days after the original appointment. We understand things happen so we were not to upset about this. The installation guys were great, working on a holiday to get the job done. However, there was a large hole left above the unit in the hallway it's been 2 months and it is still not fixed. The office staff has not communicated effectively with the owner or field staff to help resolve this. I will not use this company again.

We had a fire in our furnace that caused some bad damage. Family Air responded to our request to come out and take a look immediately. They were passionate and understanding that we have children and needed our AC up and running as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this company. They stand true to their name “Family Air” and provided outstanding customer service. Thank you so much for expediting our services, because of it we are able to be back in our home with running AC and repaired furnace.
