After one of the Valley's heavily advertised companies telling us both of our AC units should be totally replaced, American came out and informed us one of the units was performing perfectly and we only needed to replace the outdoor portion of the failing unit. A third company confirmed the diagnosis, but had a higher price and 1/3 the warranty.
To make a long story short, we now have both our systems running smooth, and we saved 86% over the first companies outrageous bid.
Scot, his service techs, and installers all surprised us with that rare combination of providing more while charging less.

I have been using American Cooling and Heating for my heating and air conditioning needs for my personal home in Gilbert, and rental properties that I own in Phoenix and Glendale, for over 4 years now. They are always very responsive when I have an issue with same day service. Most of the time within a hour from when I call, a technician is at my door, or my tenants, to fix the problem. They always explain the problems with my equipment, and when something is broken they tell me what my options are for fixing the issue. My AC went out at one of my rental properties during the middle of July, and they came out and explained that my air conditioner was on it's way out but that it could be salvaged to make it through the summer, and possibly longer. I just called them earlier this week to have the AC replaced and they gave me a credit off of my bill, from the summer service I had previously, and gave me a great price on top of that for my new air conditioner, I called George Brazil and Rainforest to get price comparisons, and American had them both beat in price by over 300 dollars!!!! I have recommended these guys to everyone I know with an air conditioning problem because they are professional and very knowledgeable, and most of all take care of my AC problems for the best price!

The entire American Cooling and Heating team was great to work with. We had a full HVAC system replaced, they worked extremely hard getting the old system out (had to cut it to fit down the hatch) and just as hard ensuring the new one was installed properly (the old one was not). Very friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to getting it right. I am a hands-on type of homeowner, no pushback whatsoever with me sticking my nose in and watching them as they worked. New system works great and they didn’t try to upsell me at any point. Labor covered for 3 years is a huge bonus.

SEARCH NO MORE!!!!! I spent days on end calling every HVAC Contractor in the Valley and found that the industry lacks speed of service, honesty and affordable pricing. The exception was (Owner)Scott and American Cooling and Heating. Scott blew every price i could find out of the water and sent his technician to my house, who was friendly, sincere and willing to accommodate my families each and every need. Call and ask for Scott, he is the MAN!

Scot and his team went above and beyond, and then beyond again to make sure that I was able to replace the massive commercial unit on my building in a timely manner with minimal impact on my tenants. They worked through nights and weekends, responded to all my calls quickly and clearly, and made sure they kept me informed of where we were at with the budget-- which was always on target. I really can't say enough good things about this company.

After contacting several companies re a new a/c unit, I decided on American Cooling & Heating. They were pleasant, returned phone calls promptly, showed up early or on time, and worked hard to do the job right. They also gave me a very good price. Highly recommend.

When my AC quit, I was disappointed to find this market is ripe with price gougers and opportunists, especially when temps reach triple digits. Scott gave me a competitive quote and after discussing my needs, I found he was knowledgeable and trustworthy. Rather than oversell, we found the right unit at the right price, without a bunch of marked up extras. Will use them next time I need work.

Sunday evening 7/09 we noticed our house temperature was getting warmer and our AC was blowing hot air. Going outside to the compressor unit the fan was not rotating and with my limited knowledge of HVAC I knew that was not good. Called our normal AC service – no answer. Started going down the list in Google for 24 hr. emergency AC service. Got 3 companies but all were totally booked through the night until Monday morning. On the 4th try I got American Heating and Cooling. Scot said he could have someone out in an hour and the repairman was onsite in about 30 minutes. In short we had several problems of bad capacitors, possible bad fuses, and a safety condensate drain switch that was malfunctioning. They thoroughly checked everything and as of this writing Tuesday the AC unit is working great. In writing this recommendation I checked the other 5 star comments on
Google and Yelp and can agree the service and support were stellar. Scot even called back to ensure we were satisfied, etc. Got to give this company a 5 star rating! JGH
