I was looking forward to trying out Affordable Plumbing as I own two properties and really need a dependable plumber. I called on Monday 12/19 to schedule someone to come out and review leaky pipes and a toilet that is no longer functional. The soonest they could fit us in was Thursday 12/22 with an appointment window of 11am - 2pm which met our schedule.
Today (Thurs 12/22) at 11:30am, we get a call that they can't make it out due to "other emergencies" and they can't reschedule until the following Tuesday (12/27). I let them know this doesn't leave me in a good spot over the next 4 days (having taken off time to be available for the now cancelled appointment). I asked if they could please refer me to someone and they told me no so we had to start desperately calling around seeing if we could have someone come out sooner.
In summary, having learned during our scheduled appointment time that
1)they weren't coming and
2) they wouldn't try to prioritize me due to the inconvenience
tells me new customers are not their priority. I completely understand things come up but things could have been communicated much better up front.
They will not receive my business and I would not recommend to anyone wanting a dependable service provider.

They have done some good work and they are prompt. However, the last time they came out to fix my faucet that would not stop leaking, not only did the scrape the marble on my tub, the tech also burned a hole in my floor tile and the grout on the large marble slab that needed to be replaced under my tub after the repair keeps cracking. Each tech said they would assist me with all of this and no one has done anything. Cancelling my VIP Membership with them as well.

Called them to replace a ball valve in an outside pex water line. It took the teck. less than 15 minutes actual work time to replace it. Less than $20.00 in parts.
I was charged $379.00. $80.00 of which was a service charge and $100.00 for not signing a $25.00 per month service contract. The remainder makes the labor charge about $800.00 an hour. Worst case of price gouging I’ve ever encountered

Affordable plumbing left us with a water heater that made our house smell so much like gas that we couldn’t go into the house. We paid thousands if dollars for the install and they refused to come all weekend because we were not VIP members. They wouldn’t even let us speak to the dispatch and made us talk to some poor woman at an answering service. It is incredible that they would leave their customers with hazardous conditions that they caused without a care or concern.

Thank you Dale! We contacted Affordable to determine what problems we had with our heat and air systems not working and exactly what systems went with the different sections of the house. We were first greeted by Dale with such professionalism with a touch of Southern charm. He spent the time to look at each system and came back to us to ask questions and created detailed estimates for each system with options available for each. I was very nervous because I realized we had several problems affecting the comfort and safety of the home. Dale was very honest with us and listened to our financial concerns addressing each concern with solutions. Thanks to Dale’s expertise and genuine concern for the customer we are proceeding with a plan and look forward to future service from Affordable. Dales ability to work with us on a productive plan has given us a livable and successful solution to get the quality work required. Dale is a brilliant and compassionate master of the trade and customer service with his client.

Affordable plumbing up-charged me with a hot water heater install and a few other miscellaneous plumbing issues across my house. They wanted $150 to install a kitchen faucet that I bought. It was incorrectly installed and I had to fix it. They installed new tub spouts that were also incorrectly installed and flooded my house on the first use. Management was very slow to respond and make it right. They acted like I was just complaining instead of just having spent thousands of dollars and wanting the work to be done correctly. I will never give a recommendation to this place. Avoid and use someone else if possible.

Dale and Justin were amazing. They are very professional and came as soon as they heard I was having issues with my AC. Justin even climbed in the attic to get a thorough inspection of the unit. They found the problem and solved it immediately. It was obvious their main concern was giving me the quality service I deserved. I strongly recommend them to anyone who needs AC repair.

Ralo was very professional. He arrived earlier than expected and had my repairs completed very quickly. He also introduced me to the VIP plan, which is very reasonable and includes my HVAC and plumbing. Have used Affordable on 3 different occasions now and been very satisfied with their work each time.

They gave me a quote for repiping my whole house. I was told the plumbing fixtures would not have to be replaced. Their website states they charge more than the quote. They destroyed the insulation in the attic, cut holes in my duck work, and charged me $1,762.34 more. I am 75 years old, my wife said she would have never found this problem. Baldwin County has a lot of elderly people, how have they taken advantage of and did not realize it. Getting them back out to repair is nearly impossible.
